Through the use of testimony and archival footage Trin T. Minh-ha pieces together a history of Vietnamese women in society following the Vietnam War and examines this incisive time through their eyes. Surname Viet Given Name Nam gives a voice to those who have been deemed voiceless in Vietnamese society.
This film is followed by an extended discussion about womxn’s histories at 3.45 pm.
