Access at Screenings and Online Events

Sliding Scale Tickets

In order to make Femspectives more accessible to those on a low income, we use a sliding scale ticket price of £0-£8 for our film screenings. You can choose what you pay based on your circumstances – you won’t be asked for any proof / ID, we just ask for your honesty!

For more information, visit our Ticket Info page.

Subtitles + Captions

We screen all films with English captions.

Live-Captioning

All of our live discussion and social events will be live-captioned.

Language / English Language Films

There is one all-English language film in the programme: Jane Arden’s THE OTHER SIDE OF THE UNDERNEATH. Click here for more information about this film.

All other films are either English plus at least one other language, or entirely in one or multiple foreign language(s).

Start + End Times

Start and end times of all events are noted on our event pages on our website, Facebook events and Eventbrite event pages.

Content Warnings

In addition to providing content warnings on each individual film page (in our event calendar, on Facebook events, on Eventbrite and on Indy on Demand), we also provide an overview of content warnings for our public screenings. Click here to download this overview.

Discussions

We are hosting a live discussion event for each feature film or short film collection in our programme. These will be hosted via Zoom Meetings. Our discussions are participatory and everyone is welcome to contribute, but participation is optional. You can turn on your video, but you do not have to. You can share your thoughts by joining the discussion and by using the chat function, but you don’t have to participate.

Discussions are free to attend, but registration is required via Eventbrite.

All discussion events will be live-captioned.

Zoom links will only be shared with individuals or groups who sign up for discussion events via Eventbrite. Please do not share these links with others as there are limited spaces and so that we can keep the space secure and accessible.
